Of all the bedroom makeovers I have done... this is my favorite!
Wall built-in finally finished for more storage...I'm thinking of putting wall paper on the backs of the bookshelf or on the wall above the built-in....... something eye catching...

7 Contestants.... I was sure to win!
2 youth groups, Junghee's, Susan Pak's, Sarah P's, lloyd's.... I was hearing about other's "secret"ingredients at church... Hmmm. What can I put in my usual chili that I can make with my eyes closed? I pondered about this cook off... little did I know, my daughter Lindsey was concocting something up her sleeves. Who knew?
After critical judging and feasting on these crock pot filled deliciousness.... the winners :
No, not me. But Lindsey's team won FIRST PLACE!!!!!! She beat out Uncle Lloyd's special chili with (beer) and unsweetened cocoa powder!!! "Did Sue enter her second batch?" someone yelled out when they called the winning chili... No way, Lindsey would not allow mom near her pot! Did she follow the recipe exactly? No, she's still my daughter because she did NOT! Congrats Lindsey, I was proud of you and your teammates!
*Did I even place? sadly NO. They judged on aroma, color, consistency, taste and my chili did not have the sweet aroma because I did not plug in my crock pot due to shortage of plugs, and my chili did not have color... But on taste... I thought it was great! But not enough to win. Now I know the secret. I shall enter again next year!
One more week of February left? How time really flies... This is what we did last weekend with the family....
Portland Trail Blazers game Sat. night with a group of boys from church! What a great game!Mt. Hood Meadows on Sunday... "Max Capacity" so they say... We almost didn't make it in the parking lot... but we "sweet talked" ourselves in and found parking. The lift lines were short, the runs were practically empty... the sun was almost, well, the weather was nice but no sun. I just imagined Mammoth on a holiday weekend... but nope, this is Oregon. Prisitine powder snow and miles of empty terraine like this. We can now all ski together as a family! We met up with Kev and the kids too.... Need to go back again... we had a blast!
On Sunday, the kids and grandpa got their teeth cleaned by ENK and Allison got a haircut! Cute!
I picked up Pacific COD from Costco and made a quick meal. (Sauce was combination of soy sauce, garlic, Korean kochu garu, sugar, and lemon, topped with green onions and onions. ( I preferred this cod over Dover Sole... the meat was firmer and no fishy taste!)While I was there at the salon with Allison, the ajummah convinced me to get a PAMA.... I haven't had a perm since 1989! So I went today... Pictures to come soon.
Randy: What did you do today Mom?
Sue: I had a Skype meeting with Pastor C from Orange County about PUC Camp Meeting, picked up Lindsey, Picked up you guys... pick up groceries..my usual!"
Randy: Skype?
Sue: Yes, Skype!
Randy: Skype is officially uncool. Because my mom uses it!
This year, ENK did surprise me with a bouquet of roses on V morning, before he left for work. That was sweet... totally unexpected! But I have received many "unconventional" V day gifts in the past.... like custom made coffee table, side table and now this. He worked on a closet system for our master bedroom. This was his V day bonus gift for me!

David Choi is a Korean American singer, songwriter, producer from LA area. He was born the year I graduated from high school. He's a youtube sensation... for Asian Americans! His fan base? Pretty teenage girls!
I tagged along with our church youth kids as a chaperone! After a long line, we all got in. I was surprised to find no chairs! It was one of those cafe style standing up kinda concert! Who knew? But luckily, I found a nice comfy sofa on the side and enjoyed the music with a delicious cup of coffee!Here's me with all the bags and all the jackets. I sat next to a nice Chinese father who was falling asleep... David Choi looked like an average Korean American young man... But his voice was smooth. Randy is dressed as an 11 year old Korean boy from 1472... a character from from Linda Sue Park's book....The Kite Fighters. (I borrowed this hanbok from my neighbor Grace, thank you!) Randy had no problem wearing this pink outfit. He was actually proud to be a Korean boy, wanting to make sure his money pouch can be seen.... He's wearing it to school for 4th grade Character Day oral presentation!
He went up to Grandpa and did the Korean traditional bowing...G pa said Randy needs a hanbok of his own! He looks good but he won't be wearing this again. Maybe when he gets married in 20 years?
We have so many cute babies at church...
I find myself with these babies all the time! We have twins Xander and Olivia, baby Julia, baby Micah, baby Emery and Charis... Holding Olivia reminded me of my baby Allison.....
This baby is ready for high school in the fall. PAA Academy Day was today! She's so ready to join Lindsey in high school!
